I tend to change hardware a fair bit — with certain exceptions. Of late I’ve tried to relax my hardware hopping habits. So for reference, or just to show off, this is the hardware I’m using now. These will change from time to time, I do have a tendency to swap the entire contents of PCs based on my current requirements so I’ll try to keep updating this page as and when.

hi, alan. i landed here whilst looking up specs for my wd1600bevt hdd. lovin your shinies and you’re a linux/open source bod to boot (no pun intended. mind you, on second thoughts). trying to teach myself the joys of tux at the mo. only have an advent 4214, 1Gb DDR2 667 with xp home sp3, crunchbang 9.04 and UNR karmic. in virtualbox on the karmic partition i’m running dsl, and also trying to get ReactOS to play nice. amzing how well this netbook runs under linux. can’t wait to start learning to compile the kernel. haven’t got past your hardware page yet but i’m looking forward to checking the rest of your site. tutorials has me intrigued. how well does lucid run on the samsung? Sorry to be prattlin on, but it was a bit of a pleasant surprise comin across your site at random.
No worries
Glad you like it. I hope to add a lot more content over the coming months.
